NADMEX 2025 Highlights

TÜRKİYE’S LARGEST GATHERING IN DISASTER MANAGEMENT CONCLUDES WITH GREAT SUCCESS!

Türkiye’s first and only Disaster Management Exhibition & Summit, NADMEX 2025, brought together public institutions, the private sector, academia, and civil society organizations working in the field of disaster management under one roof once again on December 4–6 at İstanbul Expo Center, Hall 9. Held under the motto “Life Counts,” NADMEX 2025 addressed disaster management not only from a response-oriented perspective, but also through the lenses of economy, investment, financing, and long-term resilience, highlighting a new vision for the field in Türkiye.

DISASTER MANAGEMENT ECONOMY AND INVESTMENT STRATEGIES TAKE CENTER STAGE AT NADMEX 2025

Bringing together eight main product groups, the exhibition served as a key business and collaboration platform showcasing the most innovative products and technologies across search and rescue, emergency and first aid, fire protection, communication and software solutions, energy storage, protective clothing, temporary shelter systems, and training and awareness solutions.

By demonstrating that disaster management is also a new economic ecosystem, an investment domain, and a tool for sustainable development, NADMEX 2025 united public authorities with the worlds of finance, insurance, technology, and industry on a common ground.

THE DISASTER MANAGEMENT SUMMIT SHEDS LIGHT ON A RESILIENT FUTURE FOR TÜRKİYE

The NADMEX 2025 Disaster Management Summit attracted significant attention with sessions covering disaster economics, risk financing, insurance models, public–private partnerships (PPP), climate change, artificial intelligence and digitalization, urban transformation, and the continuity of critical infrastructure.

The Summit was advised by Prof. Dr. Şükrü Ersoy, Faculty Member at Yıldız Technical University, Member of the AFAD Earthquake Science Board, and Member of the Presidential Local Authority and Disaster Policies Board of the Republic of Türkiye. Sessions featuring expert speakers from Türkiye and around the world emphasized that disaster management is not a cost, but a strategic investment with measurable returns.

Cem Şenel, General Manager of TG Expo International Fairs, underlined that NADMEX is more than an exhibition or a summit, stating: “This platform is part of our responsibility to institutionalize disaster awareness and a culture of resilience in Türkiye.”

DRILLS, TRAINING SESSIONS, AND INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS ATTRACT STRONG INTEREST

Alongside the Summit program, visitors had the opportunity to experience diverse content at the Training Area and the Expert Talks Stage.

Implemented under the motto “Learn. Practice. Save.” the Training Area hosted scenario-based drills conducted by fire departments, search and rescue teams, and emergency response experts. The AFAD Earthquake Simulation Truck enabled visitors to experience earthquakes of varying magnitudes firsthand.

At the Expert Talks Stage, private sector representatives presented innovative disaster management products, services, and technologies, while academics and civil society organizations shared real-world experiences to raise awareness.

STRONG PARTNERSHIPS AND SHARED RESPONSIBILITY

NADMEX 2025 was realized with the support and cooperation of AFAD, Turkish Red Crescent, UMKE, Governorship of Istanbul, IPKB, Union of Municipalities of Türkiye, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Istanbul Fire Department, AKOM, AFETTEK, AKÜDER, ANDA Association, DEGÜDER, DİD, IADM, KRYD, TAM Foundation, TİGİAD, TUYAD, Türkiye İMSAD, YDDMD, and many other leading institutions and organizations in disaster management.

This strong partnership structure once again demonstrated that disaster management is a multi-stakeholder responsibility not only during crises, but also before and after disasters.

TOWARDS A MORE RESILIENT FUTURE, SAYING “LIFE COUNTS”

NADMEX 2025 marked an important step toward a more resilient, better prepared, and sustainable Türkiye, built on collaboration between the public sector, private sector, academia, and civil society.
